The show Atypical launched this month to praise from critics. It stars actor Keir Gilchrist who plays an autistic teenager.
It’ll run for eight episodes.
But Gilchrist’s performance has been criticised as inaccurate and stereotypical.
One of the critics is Patricia Zwigger, who describes herself as an Autistic Canadian disability rights advocate.
The editor of Autists Aloud was interviewed about the new show from her home in Nova Scotia.
She told CBC Radio that she could only watch the new series for 11 minutes before she got fed up with the on-screen representation.
