The story of the child who was turned away when she arrived in America is to be made into an audiobook.

Lulu was the younger daughter of Ron Onions who’d got the job of the first news organiser for the BBC in Manhattan. He was later editor of LBC Radio.

The book is now selling on Kindle in Britain and America.

And the tale can be seen on YouTube –

Script preparation is underway for the recording of the audiobook and the actors have been commissioned.

John Bolton will produce and Mandy Bolton is one of the main readers – she has extensive experience as a voiceover artist.
