Southern Health NHS Trust failed to investigate 1100 deaths in a report just published by auditors.
18 year old Connor Sparrowhawk
was one of the most recent individuals who’s inquest revealed unsatisfactory care. He had autism and epilepsy and drowned in the bath.
Overall, just one percent of deaths affecting a sufferer from Learning Disabilities were investigated – and when they did happen they were often of poor quality.
Sparrowhawk’s mother Sarah Ryan says the report is utterly shameful and called for the Trust should go.
The Trust says there’s been a misinterpretation of the facts.
