One of the contributors to the ‘Don’t Bring Lulu’ blog is tonight working for CNBC news as a translator.
The Cable National Broadcasting Company has produced a news feature about the Russian economy with a contribution from a major Russian bank. 24 year old Sasha Mazikina is translating a script for the report which will be seen by the World Economic Forum in Davos.
Sasha welcomed the chance to take part in the process of communication on a world stage.
” It’s a very big issue as Russia is being sanctioned by the rest of the world so this will give more insight into what has happened,” commented the young translator.
Sasha has already worked for CNBC covering an economic forum in St Petersburg and – for NBC translating for coverage of the downing of a Malaysian plane over Ukraine.
Sasha supplied a photo for the ‘Don’t Bring Lulu’ blog earlier in the year of another fellow translator in action who was working on Russian presentation of the book for an MA dissertation.
Meanwhile the Russian premier Putin is set to leave the G8 summit of world leaders early after tense meeting with the British Prime Minister David Cameron this weekend.
